....FiaFia night....

As the night was falling I was getting nervous and a bit scared I wasn’t even gonna bother coming ?. When it got darker and darker it was already time to head back to school to get ready for “ FiaFia Night “.

When I got to school most of my friends were already there and they were just talking about how nervous they were. Then it was time to open the doors I was scared still but I got over it. But when they opened we all said bye to each other and good luck. Then we quickly rushed to our dressing rooms to get ready because we were first on stage we were the opening. It was the yr7 ‘ KAPA HAKA GROUP ‘

We waited for about an hour before we could go out on stage because we had to wait until everyone was seated. Then Mr Burt said what was going on and then he said the Karakia. And then after that he said put your hands together for the yr7 kapa haka group. Then that was my sign to walk out of the doors and when I did I could hear my Mum and cousins saying " GO RANGIMA " and all I did was looked back and smiled at them and then turned around and by the time I turned back around I almost walked into the stage that was funny. But anyway I was the first one on the stage in the front row I didn't want to be in the front row because I didn't want anyone to see me but in the end i'm use to it now.

To start of the Kapa Haka group Shontal did the Karanga to welcome everyone to FiaFia. And then we sang Wairua Tapu and after that we sang and danced to Karanga Mai Ra , then to Eminaka. And then after that we walked of stage and went to our next group my one was the " SAMOAN GROUP "

  1. It's great seeing you up there performing so confidently in the front row Te Rangi. You all looked and sounded amazing I was very proud of our Year 7's.
This leaves me wondering how you were feeling after the performance once you got over those nerves?
